ABOUT NORTH COAST SHADE

Our company has been around for many years, serving members of our community with quality service and products. North Coast Shade was originally Southside Canvas and Upholstery. Michael, owner, did his apprenticeship with them. The company at that time was owned by his best friends' parents. They owned it for more than 30 years.

He left town for a bit, but in the end, he came back home and purchased the family business. He then phased out of the upholstery services and continually improved the services that our company offers to this day. At North Coast Shade, we always strive to keep up the friendly, community-oriented feel that it has always demonstrated over the last 30 years. As such, we are always more than happy to answer any questions and share our vast expertise in this field.


While Michael runs the company, his wife Katie tends to the administrative side of the business, allowing Michael to work directly in the field with our clients. We share our excellence in more ways than one—we subcontract all our workers on projects, including our skilled fabricator specialist.

From Grafton to Yamba, Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga, we travel up to 200km to deliver the design you need.

We specialise in shade sails and structures and we offer repairs as well. We offer high-frequency welding at a competitive price, and we measure and quote free of charge. North Coast Shade are also fully licensed installers.

We cover a wide scope of services. We are the only company in the area that both designs and installs our own shades. We also have all the required certifications. We are pleased to offer our services to residential, commercial, community and government clients. For your convenience, we also offer shade repairs and maintenance, insurance jobs, design help and more.
